Tami McMasters Gomez, MHL, BS-HIM, CCDS, CDIP
Tami McMasters Gomez, MHL, BS-HIM, CCDS, CDIP, is the Executive Director, Mid Revenue Cycle (Enterprise-Wide Coding & CDI Operations, Revenue Integrity, Coding QA & Education, Revenue Cycle & Epic Training, HIM). She started her journey in healthcare 30 years ago as a file clerk in Medical Records at a very small rural hospital, where she learned several important skills, including coding. In 1997, Tami accepted a position at UC Davis Health and during her 29 years there, she has worked in a variety of roles (including Coder, Auditor, Supervisor, Manager, Director, and Executive Director). She enjoys the growth and challenges that have come with her various positions at UC Davis Health. Tami is a nationally recognized speaker and advocate for HIM with more than 30 years of experience leading enterprise revenue cycle transformation, revenue integrity, HIM, CDI, coding, compliance, and digital innovation initiatives.
